★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Busy place to visit. A lot of tourists especially on the weekends. Traditional Taiwanese style market. Good place for souvenirs and snacks.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Jinshan old street starts where you find a big temple. Once there, desserts shops with taro balls, ice creams, fruits and more are there. Also many food stalls are along the road with the main one (dick place) located 3 minutes walking from the temple. Personally the food there disappointed me (duck was tough and cold)

many cities in Taiwan do have Old street but not necessary they have historically “Old”, while most of them are selling local snacks/food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We went here at around 10:30am in Summer which maybe wasn’t the best idea. It was scorching hot with little shade and many of the stalls/shops weren’t open yet. Luckily there were some nice drink stalls. I highly recommend the refreshing lemon aiyu jelly drink and also the sweet potato snacks and desserts.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bustling streets with some goods for sale, but mostly food. The candied sweet potato is a great local tradition. Give it a try!
Be prepared for crowds though and having to push your way through

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ food in the temple mouth. the duck and bamboo are particularly “famous.” I particularly enjoyed the fried vegetables. busy atmosphere and the price adds up, but value for money.
