★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's a terminus station of TRA Pingxi branch. Jingtong is secluded and less crowded than Shifen and Pingxi that you can leisurely wander through this old day coal mining town to reminisce her vitality and prosperity.
Nowadays no more coal miners and mine trains. Instead, packed tourists train shuttle back and forth between these mountain small towns and major city.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice small town, less crowded as most focus on shifen. Tourist come here to take photo of the train station. Station famous as it is old wooden station. Here also famous for write your wishes on bamboo stick. Fly sky lantern also available but not so popular. From here just 20mins walk to pingxi.
