★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Looks like a great place but I could not find the treasures the other English reviewers were talking about as there didn't seem to be any English section... The reviews here made me think otherwise. Also I couldn't even tell who was staff as nobody felt any need to greet me or otherwise help or introduce me. I came all the way just to leave after 5min.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome alternative manga comic comix bookstore, there are paid and free reading areas and an exhibition space for their selected artists. The door is a bit hidden, you would easily miss it but it gives a private mood.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great cozy shop with a small exhibition space. They have a collection of really cool, rare manga, comic books and zines. There's a quiet reading section too. It does appeal to Chinese readers more, but they do have some things in English or just with pictures. I found some awesome Saitemiss illustrated books.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Super geek but fantastic hidden gem in Taipei. need to be a bit brave to open the entrance door in the dark basement but once you open the door, the paradise is there. They have variety of zines from mainly east Asia and the staff was quiet and not extremely friendly but ready there to help you to find what you want. (A guy speaks Japanese!) The exhibition in the exhibition space was nice too, definitely come back again when I visit Taipei for the next time:)
