R	Ryan Bradeen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you are going out to the zoo, definitely take the cable car up the mountain. Leave yourself enough time to explore around on the two main stops. One has an interesting temple complex. The other has lots of food stalls worth investigating. It is a bit pricey, but the views are great and it is a much more pleasant experience than trying to go up Taipei 101.

You can hear the birds and the wildlife as you travel up the mountain, it’s so quiet and peaceful. Only thing that would make it better is cleaner windows/clearer glass. Hard to take good photos out of!

Found the gondola stations to be very accessible with elevators and escalators. We spent 4 plus hours on gondola and exploring Maokong Village. Well worth the time and money.

You might have to wait on a longer line for it. Crystal gondolas come after every 3rd or 4th regular ones. Once is good enough, catch a regular one on the way down. Fun for kids of all ages. 100TWD = less than $3.50USD from bottom to the very top. (4 stations total) Kids 5 years and under are free. Zoo closes at 4pm, plan accordingly if you want to go.

A	Aaron Lecciones on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well worth the money, although I don't really know how much it cost since I'm using an unlimited Taipei Fun Pass (this is recommended!). Its quite a long ride and make sure you come early, took an hour to get the crystal cabin. If you use the Taipei Fun Pass and plan to go to the zoo, you can't use the Taipei South Gondola Station which would have been perfect. Otherwise, for those who want to experience a exemplar gondola ride, this is it.
