Momoyama

The restaurant has a daily lunch special of about five dishes. I selected the Shrimp Tempura. I was expecting a dish of Shrimp Tempura. The first dish delivered was a salad by a bowl of soup and a medium size bowl of beef with potatoes and other vegetables. The Shrimp Tempura was delivered with miso soup and white rice. Desert was served with coffee. The Shrimp Tempura was good. The service was very good and the prices were reasonable. Pictures of other specials orders are attached.

Expensive japanese food, but i think their set meals are worth the value. The sashimis are very fresh and they melt in your mouth. I was very full after eating their set meal. The rice is imported from japan and you can taste that its different from local taiwanese ones. Service is also excellent.

Momoyama is one of my favourite Japanese restaurant in Taipei. Located on the second floor of Sheraton Taipei, it serves a wide variety of Japanese cuisines, but if you are too lazy to read the whole menu, you can also choose from a number of set menus. One thing I like about this restaurant is its services by well trained staff. Also, on the table you can find a cute gadget that you place different sides up for different kinds of services, such as placing an order, requesting water, asking for bill. The staff has a smart watch like device to notify him/her when customers are in need. As for the food, its quality is certainly second to none. I particularly love to order the assorted seafood hot pot with two meat selection between Iberico pork or US beef slices. The soup is made with Bonito broth, konbu, Japanese sweet rice vinegar and more. On the seafood plate, you can have fresh lobster, large shrimps, fish, clams, oyster, and squid. Also, you get a veggie plate! People often argue that the serving size is not much in terms of its price, but those people often compare Momoyama with the ground floor buffet. I have to say the food quality is not even comparable, especially when talking about sashimi. 10 pieces of sashimi can cost you NT$1260 + 10% here at Momoyama, but it is very delicious! It is a good restaurant for family as it has a number of private dining room, which I always ask for to get a bit of privacy when having great time with friends and families.

Decent Japanese restaurant in Taipei with quality food. A bit pricey if you dine without discount. Services are good and the private rooms are very nice.

The food we’re doing just fine. The fish and the main course were both fine, the one thing I can’t give it a five star is the cost. These dishes below took me $65 dollars and from a cost performance perspective, this is totally not worthy. You have better choices.
