★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're a foreigner in Taiwan, this place provides a unique opportunity to gaze in Taiwan's popular culture as it was in decades passed. A lot effort has been put into the design. I can't comment on the food, as I came here for a wedding banquet and probably did not eat their usual fare.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hakka cousin it is... It's a restaurant which has special decorations from the old Taiwanese themed era. A must go place, at least once if you visit Hsinchu. Food is also good but at the higher side of $$.

The whole restaurant Bern set up like 1940's Taiwan street with each private room look like a shop on the street.
All service staff dress like school students which really fun and cute.
The menu like school lecturer textbook.
It good for both local and tourists.
