★ ★ ★ ★ ★ New traditional market with raw ingredients, meat, noodles, dry goods, fish, dried fruit, mushrooms, and spices. There is also take away premade foods downstairs. Upstairs there are about 15 restaurants, Taiwanese, Japanese, India, Korean etc, and lots of seating. The whole building is new. Everything is clean. Smells good. Clean bathrooms. Very convenient. If I worked over here I'd definitely get lunch here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Multi storey market. Come here to get a quick look and feel of local produce, snacks and food in Taiwan. Ground floor: grocery stores and cooked food shops, along with the famous Kuaiche brand meat jerky. Basement: seafood, meat, vegetables stalls. Second storey: foodcourt.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Excellent local farmer's style indoor market with long history of tradition. This place provides one stop shopping for all your cooking needs. Many traditional Chinese spices can also be found here. Meat, veggies, and seafood are very fresh! Sellers here are very friendly, but language could be a barrier, but use sign language to make purchase can be a fun experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a heaven for foodies. There are plethora of stalls selling a variety of goods such as fresh meat, seafood, cured meat, vegetables, fruits, sweets, as well as ready to eat dishes and delicacies.
While this market originated from a traditional market years ago where it was a mixture of tiny store fronts and outdoor stalls, now all stalls are housed under one roof.
The isles are clean and almost all stalls show plenty of in stock items.
With a couple of exceptions, the stall clerks were pleasant during my visit.
I am withholding one star for the following reasons:
1) Price is higher than other markets of the same ilk
2) Some vendors set up more than one stalls. While it may be convenient, multiple stalls occupied by a single vendor take away space that could have been available to other vendors. As such, this practice limits the variety this market could offer.
This is a market I visit from time to time
