It is very suitable for watching the sunrise. There is a parking place in the alley next to the Meiyuan Building, and it is only a few hundred meters close to the viewing platform~

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ went to this place on 2 separate days.only accessible by stairs. definitely better and easier to go to this place drive watch sun rise than to drive all the way up to alishan. back drop is玉山?。 you can drive to half way and start climbing the stairs. but there is no other way up. check with local for sunrise timing. catching the sunrise is all about luck. but since it is easy to reach as compare to alishan you can definitely give it a 2nd shot. btw there is no toliet on top of the observation platform or anywhere below. no water vending machine, no litter bin. bring your own water bottle and dont litter.
