Best Museum in Taiwan

V	Vian Setiawan on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful museum with a tea store. You could understand whole Taiwanese history of tea here. There's a beautiful park inside. The staff speak english. You only need to pay ticket if you are going to the tea gallery, which i highly recommend to do. You could do tea tasting in the tea shop

G	György Adler on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hidden in the mountains in the outskirts of New Taipei, the tea museum is built to introduce the various kinds of teas, as well as the harvesting, processing and consuming habits in Taiwan and around the world. The entry fee is 80 TWD per person. For easy access, I think the best and fastest way is to take bus 9028 from Dapinglin, or bus 923 from Xindian District Office (approx. 30-40 minutes as both routes use the highway).
S	Seth G on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This small museum provides an excellent overview of the tea making process, different types of tea, and the history of Taiwan's tea industry, in Chinese and English. On weekends and Wednesdays at around 2:00 PM there is also free tea tasting. Highly recommended! Tickets are 80 NT. The best way to get to the museum is to take bus numbers 923 or 12 from the Xindian MRT station in Taipei.

T	The Foodie Architect on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful building and exhibition space. The time when we visit, there is only one exhibition. I wish they have more contents. A great exhibition need to deliver more than superficial knowledge, this exhibition does not deliver its information effectively. the message from tea museum had to be more than just tea making process or brief history. A successful museum will leave a ever lasting memory and a deeper understand of what the exhibition about. I think it fails to deliver this. I wish they putting more effort of curating the show so you feel like you learn something. You want to walk away in awe not wasting time.
P	Peter Chen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Surprisingly enjoyable and informative. Only NT80 and despite it being small, it’s easy to spend a couple hours inside. Many interactive and creative exhibits, lots of hands on and kids will probably enjoy it as well. Very new place and care is taken on up keeping with relevant items that boast of Pinglin’s history and tea culture. Even the bit on its bridges was interesting. I also enjoyed the local animals and plants in local area. Basement has more detailed info about different types and regions of teas. Friendly and eager employees. There is another building on the side with actual tea processing equipments and more interactive game like features. Great!
