★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The diversity of books is really dropping my jaw off. There's even simplified Chinese section; Taiwan is using traditional Chinese just to be clear. It has been a long time since I stopped going to bookstore for a book hunt but this bookstore simply reignited my desire. Too bad I didn't bought any luggage allowance for this trip or else there won't be only 2 books I bought here.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Many bookstores in Taipei have closed or prepared to close recently, this bookstore still exists which deserves our support only for its existence. This bookstore has a huge space so that a wide range of books can display that means you can enjoy reading before you buy. I hope this bookstore can operate forever offering us a good place to enjoy really joy of reading.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is the greatest bookstore from the ones I know in Taipei. I love it! It has a massive selection of books in Chinese (both in traditional and simplified characters) and also quite a number of books in English. It is very customer-friendly. I used the bookstore's help with ordering different books which I found difficult to order on my own. I always received a book I ordered for a very affordable price (often the books were actually cheaper than I had expected).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you read Chinese language books, this is certainly one of the must-go bookstore in the heart of Taipei. Located just several hundred meters away from the Taipei Main Station and 2/28 Peace Park, it is located in Chongqing South Road, a stretch of road known for its bookstores. The first and second floor mainly display law, politics, health and leisure books as well as magazine. The third floor is a must-go if you like anything about humanities since this floor houses books about history, literature, philosophy and religion. The fourth floor mainly sells children books, government publications, textbooks, as well as some English language books (mainly novels and classical works). The basement sells simplified Chinese books. There is usually a 5-10 percent discount for each books upon checkout.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A bookstore with five or six floors and stuffed to the brim with books. Pretty easy to navigate. There’s very little in foreign languages. Almost everything is in Chinese. Simplified character publications are in the basement. Not really much room to sit down and read. No cafe inside. Just a place to find and buy books. If they don’t have it in store but the book is available on their website, then you can order online yourself but there’s not really any point in asking the staff to do that for you because it’s better to just have it be sent to your local 7/11 anyways.
