2019/6/24 Professional and awesome job done by “牛奶” and design help from Zozo (who's English is great!) Very happy with it ? Might also be the most healthily healing tattoo I've had, too. If I feel like getting tatted again in Taiwan, I know where I'll be going!

I am from N.Y. USA and I have 15 tattoos. This week I went to Taipei the capital of Taiwan to visit friends and family. I wanted to get a tattoo while I was there as a memory of my 1st trip to an Asian country. I started out looking in and around the night markets and I wasn't impressed. A friend of my wife that we were visiting recommend SHARK INC. I thought I might have a problem with the communication gap but thanks to the fantastic and friendly staff, ( and a little help from google translate ) I had no problem getting help. The shop was very clean and professional and the shop had a very nice comfortable atmosphere. ERIC LIN and RYAN are very,very good. They helped me to choose what I wanted and made the adjustments I asked for without hesitation. They even stayed after hours to start the process and finished my tattoo the next day at a time that fit into my schedule. The tattoo was completed in a timely manner and best of all the tattoo came out PERFECT! Clean lines, great shading and bold colors. ERIC LIN did the tattoo and RYAN assisted and did a beautiful tattoo on my wife as well. If you are in Taipei or your going to be, SHARK INC with ERIC LIN and RYAN is the only way to go. You wont be disappointed.

So I went today to this parlor and I gotta say that the place was very clean. The artist was very professional with a very steady and gentle hand. I gotta say that I pretty much took a nap while he was doing his stuff (that’s how comfortable I was) a tiny bit of redness afterwards but not much, he told me that he has more than 20 years experience and that was a nice surprise to me! (Not quite sure if he’s the owner) but you can tell from his work that his technique is pretty dope. Overall the experience was very pleasant and I defo recommend this place! Oh btw, you gotta make an appointment ahead.

TL;DR - One of the best experiences I’ve had in Taiwan. I cannot wait to go back. My Experience - I had dedicated a day to visiting all the tattoo shops in Taiwan as I really wanted a tattoo on my birthday. Shark Ink was the last on my list, and would be closed by the time I arrived but I thought it would still be useful to see the space, “suss out the vibes” so to speak. As I was walking there from the station (the studio is super close to public transport by the way) I ran into a worker from there (the business card she presented to me can be seen in the attached photos). Ula was very personable and helpful in talking about the studio, and her experience. We organised to meet the next day for the tattoo. On the day of the tattoo I got to meet the rest of the team. Everyone was so down to earth and nice. I think that’s the first thing that sets Shark Ink apart from the other places I visited - you feel safe and welcomed when you arrive. Music is playing but it’s not heavy, people are talking in a casual way. The person who ended up doing my tattoo - Eric, was very masterful and patient. What I got was simple - as it was my first I didn’t want to be too extravagant. I hardly felt any pain either which was surprising as they warned me ribs can be a little sensitive. What’s more - years later the tattoo has aged very well which indicates a solid job done the first time. This place is so beautiful and full of creative minds that I really want to come back and work with the artists to create something together. That’s another thing - the team here is very cohesive and they speak highly of the work culture which is great. I didn’t get to meet the boss but I heard many good things about how he cultivates the team environment and teaches about the craft. I cannot sing Shark Ink’s praises enough. I’ve told everyone even considering a tattoo in Taiwan to visit this place. It’s internationally friendly, professional, clean, comfortable, and easily accessible. I love it! Definitely recommend for travellers or locals alike.
