★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is an interesting small museum. The descriptions in English could be a bit more exhaustive and this would make the visit more enjoyable for the non Chinese speakers.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice and quiet museum. There are good explanations in English. The museum shop has a nice variety of souvenirs, postcards, bags and books (also in English).

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love this little museum. As a Filipino-American, it was great to see where my Austronesian roots came from. I felt a connection with my ancestors here. It was amazing to see the cultural links and very close similarities to some of the tribes here to those in the Philippines, such as the Paiwan in Taiwan and the Kalinga in the Philippines. I will definitely come back here again and bring more people.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you want an introduction to the culture of the first settlers of the land, this is a good place to start. The exhibits offer a glimpse of their way of life and how it was shaped by their natural environment and the arrival of foreign powers. The museum is small so it does not feel overwhelming. They offer discounts to visitors with tickets to the nearby National Palace Museum.
There is a similar museum in Taipei called Ketagalan Culture Center. Admission to this other museum is free.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pretty much entirely bilingual! It's a lot of information to take in. Some of the videos on the first floor are humorously outdated. But I definitely learned and would recommend a visit.
