Tainan Art Museum Building 2 - West Central District

The gallery is beautiful and the staff were all very friendly. It has many spots that are suitable for taking photos. What’s a shame is that the exhibitions are not well-organized. There is no clear introduction to every gallery and there is no connections between galleries. In addition, there isn’t clear introductions for artists and artworks. After seeing all those works, it was difficult to grasp the ideas or concepts that the whole exhibition was trying to convey, making it futile to spend time appreciating all the works.

This new modern art museum is a big gain for Tainan, for sure. It’s huge, the art spaces are equivalent to the new TATE modern buildings and the use of colours in de different rooms adds to the experience (the choice of colours is a matter of taste). The buildings architecture is impressive (watch the film where its structure is explained in building 1) and unique in many ways, the terraces beautiful. At any moment in the day you can find a seat in the shade. The access is free, thank you Tainan government for allowing anyone to enter and visit the arts. Two flours, on the moment of visit, we’re still being finished and will expand the total space even more. There is one thing that needs consideration (besides the strange fact that none of the toilets has soap, which I presume goes against governmental regulations when it comes to public health in a public building for a public building): the light from outside is so bright (and this wasn’t even an sunny day) that is reflects so strongly on many of the exposed works, that it takes away part of the virus on the works. I think some blinds, taking away part of the bright light, could resolve the issue. Th roof structure does that work for the central hall, so now it just need so adjustment of the light how idly entered the exhibition spaces. That would be great!

Lots of exhibitions inside and the ticket isn't pricey to enter. Outdoor rooftop is a nice place to sit and chill take pictures and to relax after a long day of walk!

The museum is new and modern. Exhibition rooms is small which might be good for certain exhibitions. Kids story area is also well designed. Pretty pack in the weekend.

Beautiful art gallery in an incredibly white and polished space. The building is minimalistic yet well designed. There's a cafe on the third floor and a restaurant on the fifth floor. The ceiling is almost entirely made if glass and lighting here during the daytime is incredible. I had coffee and dessert at the restaurant upstairs (Lumiere). There's a 200ntd minimum order per person. The lemon tarts is beautifully presented and the peanut butter banana latte is unique and quite rich. Would definitely recommend to anyone in the area looking for a place with art, culture, food and AC ?

A very modern, clean and beautifully built art museum. The building itself is something to enjoy, I especially loved the glass ceiling and walls. The galleries are organized by letters and the museum's map is this beautiful 3D model. Overall I really enjoy my time there with my friends. There were a lot of people that day however, and a lot of them were there to just take photos of themselves... And not look at the art, which was a bit frustrating to me, but besides the point I guess haha.

I like the way they categorized the collections into multiple sections, so it's easy to follow, although the amount of installed arts aren't as much as I thought. However, the architecture of the building is the main attraction in my opinion. It was beautifully designed and unique. The cafe provides amazing coffee and dessert, while the terrace offer better Tainan's city view.
