★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice walk in a very well kept Confucius temple. There's no incense burning in a Confucius temple, more like a memorial to a great teacher. You can see some old artifacts and building structures. I would recommend stopping if you're in the area, but I wouldn't make a trip just to see it. The stroll through the grounds took maybe 20 minutes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The grounds alone are worth a visit. Beautiful buildings and tons of bilingual signs to explain what you are looking at. The temple itself is more than one might assume. There are two exhibits in the buildings surrounding the temple proper. One focuses on ritual items from ceremonies conducted at the temple and the other displays the musical instruments and dance used in ritual. There is an interactive wall that plays the music of the instrument that you tap. I was very impressed.

It is a favourite stop on school field trips and graduation trips so there are always large numbers of students praying for good grades and other visitors. Parking might be difficult to find.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tainan Confucius Temple is one of the best place to visit in Tainan for sure. There is a street full of traditional toys or food to try. Confucius Temple full of Taiwanese study and lecture atmosphere(I’m bad at describing this) I love the atmosphere anyway. Highly recommended to people that are visiting Taiwan Tainan. Good to go with friends and family for sure. And many amazing food around too. I’ll go visit again for sure!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great place to visit esp if you have puppies to travel with. Can learn how Confucius made huge influences into Taiwanese culture and let your puppies running on the field just on the side.
Don’t miss this spot where you can feel the Confucian culture and those surrounding local best restaurants after you visit.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great historic place in the central of Tainan.
Nice to have a small walk here if you stay in nearby hotels. They provide a vending machine which including stamp ( the price ), so you can just write and put it in the mailbox beside. Good place for photoshoot too. If you’d like to understand more about Confucius it’s the best place to come.
