★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very clean, good to come during off hours. You can buy most tickets day of which is really convenient! The inhouse businesses are also very friendly and accommodating, and most of the staff can speak some English so there's nothing to be worried about. The HSR itself is also a great way to get around the island, and always departs on time! Scheduling can be a bit difficult over the holidays, and it may be a bit pricy to Taipei (~$60usd one way), but it's definitely worth it. The only qualm I have is that the main convenience store was founded by foreigner, and it shows. There are a lot of flags with a lone star and are pictures of cattle everywhere. I guess Bush really did do 7/11.
Overall this is a great method of travel, highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ serve high speed transportation and make efficient & shorten our distance from Taipei City to my hometown.....
As you saw on the photos the design of the Roof that could use the Natural light source into the buildings that save the power supply..... i love so much.....
Also, the Phoenix Flower Trees ( Poinciana ) outside the buildings, it's Tainan City's Symbol, you could see the flowers blossom with beautiful color in this season….
