I’m proud of Taiwan’s early success in containing COVID before there was a vaccine but these controls now seem ridiculous. In 2022 and with most of the population fully vaccinated.

Taipei Taoyuan international airport during COVID-19. Significantly reduced travelers during COVID-19. Overall cleanness and safety measures are up to standard. Everyone sees mask.

Nice airport, not so big but efficient. Clean and good environment. Just little bit far from the city center but has lots of transportation to the city, you can choose mrt or bus to go everywhere around. During the pandemic Just make sure to take your PCR test, vaccines certificate, hotel quarantine and your ID with you. Currently Some of the free visa destinations countries required some visa. Please search about your country destination before flight.

Gorgeous airport! Asian airports tend to be modern and beautiful. Taoyuan is exceptionally efficient in every way. The Duty Free shopping experience is very good. Public areas are immaculately clean.

Great airport but due to the pandemic a complete ghost town. The employees and service here are still top notch, but so many stores are closed it doesn't make much sense to come here early. Even in the lounges they have limited meal services. Hopefully, things will go back to normal so the airport can start humming again.

It is already a superb airport by all standards in terms of design, accessibility, amenities, and organization of shops, facilities, and flow of countless people in an airport. Interesting is the roof of the airport which I can say is an Engineering marvel and the material used is native and probably exotic. Charging ports for gadgets are placed strategically. Convenience stores are located downstairs to maintain the cleanliness of the main floor for travelers to use, unlike in Singapore and KL, where shops are along the alleyways going to the departure areas. Hence the design is teaveler safety as primordial concern and not more on economics where profit is key. In other words, the main floor is spotless clean as no spilled liquid or food leftovers are found. Of course people bring food to the main floor so that is another story. Overall, it is a great experience. By the way, this airport is about 1 or 2 hours from Taipei so take your time for a more productive endeavor or just enjoy sightseeing the views outside the city center. Thumbs up! ?
