TAKAO1972 Kunming Restaurant

I came upon this hot pot restaurant after failing to get a table at the neighbouring Mala hotpot store. Normal dinner price is NT598 nett. Waited till 9pm to get the promotional price of NT398. Was impressed with the interior. Compared to the neighbouring restaurant, it was very spacious, and your clothes will not stink with the cooking smell. Service was very fast and attentive. Cons: Compared with normal price and promotional price is that one of the premium beef and sashimi were removed. No free flow beer like other stores. No dessert. Limited drink choices. Limited sauce choices. Pros: No service charges or hidden cost (in small prints), no long queue. Soup base taste good. Soup are provided to individuals and not the typical 2-in-1 type. Photos shown are the basic ingredients given upon seated, and customers will be provided with additional ordering slips to choose whatever additional ingredients they want. Beef and pork slices were also provided but photo was not taken as I'm very hungry by then. I did not give 5 stars as I personally felt that if compared with normal dinner price, the lack of desserts and limited choices in drinks and sauces compared to other restaurants overshadowed the benefit of 'no service charge'.

TexasTom TaiwanTing review another ... we opted for sushi and regretting it. Something should be noted when you’re the only one in a large restaurant during dinner time on a Tuesday night. Note to management. Don’t put someone who isn’t trained at the front. I wanted to pay by Apple Pay and she had to ask for someone to help her out. Collecting all forms of payment should be a pretty basic training step. Anywho on to the food. Had what looked like a hair in the salmon roll. But was told it was a towel fiber. Either way I don’t thing either of those were in the recipe. We were given a new roll with a bit of an attitude. The hairless version was okay but noting to write home about. The Pork Don was pretty bland. There was a good portion of pork. I would have opted more for flavor than volume. The saving grace of the meal was the Heineken Beer, served in the can. The glasses need to be cleaned before we used them. Presentation was nice.... on a positive note.

this complex of hotel lounge, beer bar, café, Dhabi shabu, and Taiwanese sweets is great in presentation and atmosphere. The price is reasonable. However, the quality of seafoods is OK, hope they can make it greater.

Very nice ambiance, buffet steamboat restaurant. NT428 for having seafood choices, NT 398 for meat only. Its just beside Papa Whale hotel and the hotel breakfast is served here too. For hotel breakfast you will have steamboat buffet too, just thr selection is limited. Coffee tea hot choc is available for hotel breakfast, no juice available. Theres rice, porridge and toast bread also, but only strawberry jam available. If you staying many nights in hotel just book 1 day with breakfast inclusive to try, once is enough and other days recommend you go try taipei breakfast outside.

Awesome hotpot place! Relatively affordable when it comes to a meal involving lobster ?! I ordered the tomatoes soup and it was divine! The portions are HUGE! I would recommend to go in a party of 4. You can order a couple set (with one free soup) and a single soup (this is where the tomato broth is located). I don’t know about other locations but this one has an awesome light well in the middle. I encourage you to ask to be seated there because the view is amazing and up to 6 people can be seated. Can’t believe such place can be found in Ximenting!

I love this restaurant so much. Fresh seafood and high level meat slides. Most important of all, the view is great, nice, and gorgeous. I will find next time to visit again with my friends. Lastly, it is all u can eat for just $600 NTD. Love the CP value!

The soup, vegetables, and meat are in a great mix, I chose mala soup and it’s a really refreshing soup.

+ : excellent food. Good quality beef. - : ordered hot sake, it took 15 minutes to come, meal was already half finished, when it arrived it was cold. Had to send it back. When it came back was just warm. Please improve your process, drinks should come before food. give 5 stars and get a fish dish is wrong advertising, you just get a coupon for next time. So I stick to my 2 stars. Ice cream not included
