The tea quality is not good. It is fake taiwan tea. no good taste. do not buy.

2 minute steep at a boil...flavor is vegetal like spinach...especially on the finish...smell is similar...slight mustiness...doesn't impress me much...but way more unique than black tea!

Wonderful place to find high quality tea! I would recommend it to serious tea lovers. The owners were super friendly and knowledgeable, and they have some pretty unique teas there (like wild tea and competition grade Oriental Beauty). I learnt some secrets of tea brewing while I was there. Totally worth the afternoon (and money) you'll spend!

Great place to learn about tea, taste different grades of tea before buying. Spent almost 3 hours at Ten Shang tea company at Jilin Road. The boss (4th gen, Mdm Xie) patiently prepared tea for me to try. I tasted one of the best teas in my life (no joke!). The top 2 grades of Taiwan's oolong tea and a black tea harvested from wild tea bushes by Taiwan's aboriginal tribes. She also explained to me the intricacies of the industry, how the unique geography of Taiwan suited the cultivation of tea, and why they do not commercialize their business (choosing not to increase profit margins from fancy packaging but instead focus on targeting customers who appreciate high grade tea). I also got a treat from her daughter: egg yolk pastry from a famous shop in Zhanghua and a mochi snack. Tea tasting here is like visiting the home of a friend. I ended up getting both the Da Yu Lin and Li Shan Taiwanese oolong. They each have different characteristics: Da Yu Lin is more intricate and fragrant as you make more rounds, whereas Li Shan is more robust and the flavor exudes itself from the start.

Excellent tea learning experience. The owners are very kind and just want to share their tea knowledge. No pressure to buy their tea, but after they sit you there for an hour explaining and letting you sample, you would want to bring some home.

A Taiwanese acquaintance brought me here for tea tasting back in 2017. We chatted over tea for hours and it was memorable. I lost the name card, and took me a while to find the place. I bought some tea back in 2017, and until today still in good condition. I highly recommend Ruby Black Tea, especially for cold brew.
