★ ★ ★ ★ ★ So disappointing... I’ve read mixed review here but still decided to give it a try with my husband when we stayed at the hotel.
As soon as we sat down the lady was selling us the most expensive tea set with la prairie products. Anyway, we insisted just want some classic English afternoon tea, only the scones we liked all other stuff tasted very artificial. Because we ordered one set with two teas they gave us only one cooking with one tea set, which looked and felt strange - that’s not what a five star hotel do - be stinky with your little cooking because your guest ordered one tea set. I wouldn’t come back here

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been to several Jade Lounges all over the world, however I am sure The Jade Lounge Taipei serves one of the best afternoon tea in the world. The sandwiches, desserts, scones were all high in quality. The staffs were very friendly and helpful. Loved it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've been to many Mandarin Oriental afternoon teas, but this one takes the cake. Literally. The Taiwanese have an innate ability to elevate the art of a single bite and Jade Lounge afternoon tea is the symphony. Caviar with little pancakes and half a dozen garnishments, course after course of delectable pastries, tea sandwiches and ornate chocolate swans, champagne, tea and scones, oh my! Come for afternoon tea and stay for the beauty, design and overstated elegance. Must go when in Taipei! $130 USD for two. (My grandma not included as tea companion.)
