★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Well located in Ximending so they must get lots of tourists. If you think their minced meat rice is good then you definitely have not had a really good one from Jinfeng. Maybe foreigners like the not so Taiwanese tasting minced pork rice with runny egg. Raddish cake is the best, perfectly crispy and you can order a half order for 30NT. Oyster pancake is good too. I think their sauce is to die for. The guy you order from is pretty good looking (with a mask on anyway) and is very nice when he halved my raddish cake order since I ordered way too much for one person.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ (2018) One of the best 滷肉飯 places for the price, 35NT gets you a small bowl with a fried egg on top. I like how the sauce includes actual meat, unlike some places. The 蘿蔔糕 is pretty good, too; looks like they use the same slightly sweet sauce that they put on the 蚵仔煎？

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ First meal in our Taipei trip. We all felt this is a good sign of what Taiwan food will be for us. Liked the braised meat rice that I ordered a second helping. Note the rice a bit hard but overall is delicious. Next favorite was the meat n mushroom soup. The carrot cake was the signature dish of this store but I felt that the sauce is lacking and the chili sauce here do not add taste to it. Oyster omelette was not bad. Liked the sauce but I prefer more crispier version. Note that this shop is full of tourists. Boss is very friendly!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I really enjoyed this place. Its a classic hole in the wall. Food is really tasty and inexpensive. The waitress really paid attention to our order and even ofer suggestions. Been here a few time and for sure will go back.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The turnip cake is recommendation to order. It’s tasty and crispy. The braised pork rice is tasty but a little fluffy and soft. I am highly recommend add egg on the rice. The egg mixed with rice is really awesome!
