Best Steak house in Taiwan

K	Kady Chen on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Everything is perfect cooked and full of unique flavour. Morden decorations with decent service. All I hope that can be approved is portion. For this price, my expectations is more than what they provided.
J	Jayce Lim on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing steak place! We wanted to try the dry age beef, unfortunately it was sold out when we were there, so we opted for the 22 ounce ribeye instead. The meat was so good, moist and juicy with the right amount of beefiness. We also tried the dry aged cherry duck breast and it's so yums! The skin was nicely crisped and the meat done to just the right pinkness, being moist and so flavorful. The mains came with a starter and a dessert. For starters, we tried the onion soup, which was on the bland side, but the dumpling were an interesting take. Also tried the grill squid which was simply done to emphasize its freshness. Desserts were oreo tiramisu, which was nothing to shout about, and a flan which was really very yummy. The price is on the high side for this place, but given the quality of the food served, it's money well spent.

While it's debatable whether the taste has extensively deteriorated, the food presentation is now extremely poor and unappetising, in a restaurant that is not cheap to begin with. There were 7 kitchen staff in attendance but obviously it's not the "numbers" that mattered. I have posted some old photos for comparison. Not difficult to see which are the ones during the good old days! I immediately cancelled my two other bookings.
K	Kent Ma on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Love the food there, Chief Chen is awesome, and dishes are different when he is around. However, when he is not around quality may suffer. Definitely one of the best restaurant in Taiwan. Many creative dishes. Best duck breast in Taipei. Great pastas also.
P	P L on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good experience overall. Food was better than I expected. The decor is a bit strange and dated to me but that could be just me. Service was good but we were the only group in the restaurant. The portions felt small but I would come back.

S	Sean Lin on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very very great experiences. The servers are very warm and friendly, explaining the menu in details. Appetizer is fresh and nice. We order steak, and the meat is cooked just right. We love the shrimp meatball soup very much, too.
V	Vincent Hum on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Delicious meal! You can request extra bread and they will go prepare it fresh. The steak was recommended to cook to level 3 which should be medium rare. Or was pink and you could see blood but the texture was like level 5 or medium (pleasant surprise). Lobster appetizer was very good. The raw beef was good and quite interesting. Desserts were great and the lunch special meal even included a drink (each diner must order water and it's charged to the bill). Very cozy and cool environment. The service was excellent. The staff explained the dishes and ingredients after each dish was served.
