★ ★ ★ ★ ★ New (and thus far best) entrant into Taipei’s high end yakiniku restaurant market, combining top class wagyu of various cuts, a detailed Japanese-designed surroundings and experience and creative dishes served by thoughtful staff. The carpaccio, center filet and truffled shoulder are especial highlight. Warning: Budget a lot of time, a (impressive) wagyu sandwich can take half an hour on its own.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite pricey for the amount of food, but it was a great experience, we were quite a big group and service was amazing, super attentative and patient. Beware of the fried beef sandwich which goes for 1000ntd for just half a sandwich! The sandwich is delicious maybe just get one and share!

Vanne surely offers great service on serving and hosting, as well as its amazing food quality, you can casually enjoy the meal with the hip interior and somewhat lively ambience.
One point to be improved: Staffs could really enhance their sake/shoju knowledge to give out better recommendations.

They really honored local ingredients, brings out the best of both (local and wagyu) no matter textures, flavor, all well calculated, you wouldn’t get this level just bcoz u have the food source.
They carved the bulk meat and not wasting any parts of it, I’m a regular home chef ordering bulk meat and high end ingredients but some sauces and methods they use, if you have time is fine, but prep for a 5 courses meal ( just a 3 hrs meal) takes about 2 days and more than 15 ingredients, let me tell you paying is easier.

Probably one of the best dining experience I had. The warm welcome and service of the waiters were a big plus. Not to mention their set menu, you got chance to try various part of beef.(they offer pork and chicken too, but not the set menu)
Fresh, scrumptious, and nice pairing.
Good choice for celebration.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It’s a nice grilled meat restaurant with very good service. The quality of the meat is very good and the server prepare the meat with good skill. The price is a little bit higher but worthy it. Adi, the server for our table explained the meat very detailed and professional. Overall experience is above average of high end restaurants in Taipei.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Been there 6 or 7 times already, and it consistently delivers excellent food quality and service. Unlike other popular yakiniku places that are super tough to book, and you'd get the smoky smell all over your clothes, this place isn't as difficult to book and not smoky at all. It has a wide appeal, young and hip, mature and sophisticated, family with kids. Private room is narrow and small, 10 ppl max. Recommend their tartar dish, extra thick cut gyu tongue, steaks. Liquor by the class is a bit too light and too sweet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ When I was first told they didn't use charcoal I was a bit disappointed... But when I actually tasted the food, I was absolutely blown away!! Excellent seasoning, excellent quality of the beef used, and creative but still amazingly tasty non-BBQ type of food. Vanne is a must try if you ever come to Taipei ?
