Ximending Walking District

My favourite place of all! A lot of food to choose from! From cheap cute stuff to the expensive ones. You can eat, relax, buy stuffs and enjoy. You can also do a lot of things here.

Great tourist spot but don't do your shopping here. If one of the big night markets is in your itinerary for a different night, spend your money there. Modern Toilet is a ripoff and the food isn't good, also, skip the flame grilled steaks as they're not as tender as they look.

Very touristy and crowded area especially at night. There's a night market, a lot of stores where you can go shopping for almost anything and several restaurants of different cuisines. I believe that this is one of the best places to look for accommodation when you go to Taipei - it has a nearby train station and there are food carts in the morning where you can grab breakfast before touring around for the day.

I had fun here. It is a bustling spot with more clothing and souvenir shops than food stalls. There is plenty to choose from and something for everyone. I would go back even just to window shop. It was a fun, lively, experience.

Ximending Walking District feels like Japan in Taiwan! You’ll definitely live the bright, colorful billboards, the busy streets, and the diverse crowds. Must tries: 1. Scallion pancakes - i recommend the one with cheese 2. Milk Tea (of course) 3. I don’t know what it’s called but that sticky delicacy with peanut butter flavor 4. Mango snow ice! 5. Shopping! 6. You’ll find holiday treats from here also. But take note, it’s a bit pricy here. Not to mention, they also have fat cats. Better find them somewhere

One of the best place to shop for luggage, as a few shops stock well designed luggage at low prices. Plus great street food too. Shops opened till late. street food carts come out at 11pm , so much to shop and eat.

Great place to see daily live performances and to meet people from all over the world. I helped out couple foreigners today by telling them where the elevators are. Can't believe most tourisr don't know its existance and drag their heavy luggage up and down the escalator instead. Lot's bargain around too, whatever you might need.

"Ximending (Ximending Walking Street) is located in the Wanhua district of Taipei City. This area formed from the pedestrian street of Wuchang Street, Hanzhong Street and Qi Street is considered the golden area of Ximending. Keep in your mind that Ximending is a large area that can take your whole night to explore all of its best. Ximending night market opens from the afternoon of the previous day and ends at about 3-4 o'clock the next morning. It’s located only 15 minutes walking from Taipei Main Station and right in front of Ximending MRT station. So you can easily and freely explore the attractions in Taipei (self-sufficient or book a half-day Taipei tours) and then return to Ximending at the end of the day, still extremely OK. For shopaholics, a light suggestion is that the best time to shop here is from 5pm onwards. Beside shopping, Ximending is also a paradise of food from Taiwan’s signature street food to international cuisines that can explode your stomach. More than that, you can give yourself a break by stopping to enjoy and admire many skillful street-performer in every corner of the area."
