★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is an interesting place for non-Taiwanese to visit, if you would like to experience the traditional yet genuine Bian-Dang ("lunchbox") culture.
Usually noisy, speedy and crowds during meal hours, they do have quite an assortment of lunchboxes/set meals at rather economic prices. And I guarantee you they are real Taiwanese flavors -- be them pork chops, braised pig knuckles, chicken drumsticks or the fancy combo of the above in a set, or even just the miso soup. It just how some Taiwanese are very used to when it comes to lunch and dinner.
But you may want to stay there longer than you should. Get in, order, find spot, eat while observing others, have some soup (help yourself), and then leave with a full stomach once finished. NT 120 could get you a handful, it's just no place to chat.

I came in here for a quick bite and that's what I got. I would just go here for the speed and price since that's the best thing they offer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This restaurant offers standard meal that is called bendo in Japanese. So the main dishes are fixed like fish, pork steak, pork feet, or chichen, and the vegetables are varied with seasons. You may take it out or eat in the restaurant. It's convenient and price is reasonable.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great location, which is close to several cram schools and bank branches/hq. Price on the high side. Probably because of busyness, they make it specific that adding rice is 15 TWD, this should not be a problem since the portion size is big. I find the food mediocre though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Anything other than the curry would be fine. The curry is an utter disappointment. The other items on the menu are pretty decent. Don't waste your money with the curry, it's the same price as other portions but half the size.
