Best unagi don ever. Not too fat or lean, just right. The sauce is not too overly sweet as other places. If you go, order large, ask for extra sauce, sprinkle some “mountian pepper” and feel your worries melt away.

Vegetarian ramen is nothing special but sides dishes and inari roll are good.

Nice but fairly standard quality space for the area, reasonable pricing but convenient location close to Dongmen exit 5! My friend got the chicken donburi (180ish?) and I got the beef donburi (240nt)- it was actually pretty good! The meat was flavorful and really juicy and the donburi is well balanced with rice, sauce, kimchi, and some other stirfried vegetables! Our meals also came in set with tea, pickled daikon radish slices and miso soup ~ fast service as well but also probavly because it was more empty today :)

We ordered sashimi dinner from Uber eats, and we were very disappointed at the quality of the fish, they were not fresh.

Ordered the small unagi-don (鰻魚飯) meal, which came with a small slice of cooked egg appetizer and a bowl of miso soup for $280. The unagi was good/meaty, but pitifully small. The rice was lacklustre, and they applied sauce to it extremely sparingly. The miso soup was cooked at too high a temperature (it shouldn’t be any higher than a gentle simmer, somewhere 50-53°C), as the fish in it had the life brutally cooked out of them until they were dry. I would say this meal is very poor value for money. I will not return. I had to order something else ease the lingering hunger: fried tofu ($70). Three sizeable tofu pieces in a bowl, with sweet soy sauce marinade at the bottom. The tofu batter is an interesting mix of bonito flakes and batter, but the bonito doesn’t shed oil well after frying, so it has a greasy (but crunchy) sheen on it. Topped with grated daikon. All in all, the tofu is worth getting if you enjoy such fried sides. This store’s original/first location has a history, and was very popular, which probably explains why I was the only person under 50yo in here (for a Wednesday lunch). Decor is fine and modern, almost chain-restaurant-like.

(with English menu) I guess it’s a old restaurant with new decorations. It’s very popular for senior generation. The dinner in here is delicious but it’s a little bit expensive. The fish is really fresh.
