橫嶺古道紅壇登山口 - Beitou District

The entire ancient road is mostly composed of dirt trails. It is not recommended to come during or after rain. The entire trail is in the shade of trees and walks smoothly. There is a very beautiful bamboo forest in the middle.

During the epidemic period, tourists are not allowed to park. The Yangmingshan Administration is really messed up!

Near Yangmingshan Qianshan Park, the climbing entrance is at No. 117-3, Shamao Road, Dapu Mountain Trail on Shamao Mountain Trail, and Hongtan Mountain Trail on Hengling Ancient Road. All three routes can reach the top. The mountain entrance of Qianshan is about 2 kilometers away, Dapu is about 1.7 kilometers away, and the Hongtan mountain climbing entrance requires a rope for about 20 minutes. Shamao Mountain is a relaxing and scenic trail. The viewing platform has a wide field of vision, with a panoramic view of Datun Mountain, Qixing Mountain, Xiaoguanyin Mountain, Penny Mountain and other peaks, Zhuzi Lake, Zhongshan Tower, Yangmingshan Visitor Center and Houshan Park. Pavilion, Qing Dynasty tombs, Chenhe Jieshi and other historical sites, as well as artificially planted cedar forests, mountain cherry trees, sweetgum and black pine during the Japanese occupation period. Take a break from the heat in summer, admire the awns and maple trees in autumn, enjoy cherry blossoms in spring, take a dip in the soup in winter or visit Qianshan Park.
