The Sijie Church was originally initiated by Pastor Chen Yaozong of the Luodong Church. The purpose of missionary mission is to serve employees and relatives of the Zhongxing Paper Mill. The original name of the church is "Sijie Industrial Missionary Mission Center Church". Architect Liu Mingguo graduated from the University of Tokyo and was the dean of the Department of Architecture of Tamkang University (CE 1969-71). The Sijie Church is his representative work. The whole building is composed of three different forms of construction: a trapezoidal red brick main body, a concrete bell tower, and a large white ladder facing the front. The main architectural concept is drawn from Noah's Ark, the church hall is planned on the upper floor, and the secular service space is on the ground floor. Architects attempted to deconstruct the prototype of the Three ㄧ church in New England in terms of form: the most interesting is the semi-red and white facade designed by Liu Mingguo. School space dialogue. The designer cooperated with outdoor stepped classrooms on the sloping roof of the church to increase its sociality, but the humid and rainy climate of Yilan may make it dysfunctional. In order to integrate the aforementioned fragmented shape, a tall bell tower was placed in the middle of the front of the church. It can be seen from a distance. As the main symbol and entrance of the church, the white main staircase on the left side serves as a path to the Holy Spirit to climb the church. Facing the white facade on the right. Building construction mainly uses fair-faced concrete, clear-water red bricks and hollow bricks, etc. in an attempt to present its religious spirit with simple local materials and construction methods. The fragmented space and formal aesthetic ratio of this building may not be perfect, but it is understandable that this is still a high-quality work of CE Critical Brutalism in the 1960s. CE was faced with the demolition crisis due to the provincial highway widening project in 2003. After the efforts of all parties, the entire building was moved back 80 meters, and this historic building was preserved. However, the significance of the entrance to the arcade that is facing the bottom of the street tower no longer exists. (Now it has been designated as a historical building, renovation can restore the original appearance and face today's life)

The old and new church buildings exist at the same time, and the old church has become a characteristic building of the government.
