One of the highlights if you will visit Raohe Night Market. We were lucky that the line wasn't that long when we went. Took us only 5 mins to wait. The pepper bun is juicy and tasty and served hot from the oven so be careful on your first bite as your mouth might get burned. You can also see how they make the pepper bun so it was really interesting and a unique cuisine I must say.

Good place to get black pepper buns in Taipei. It recently won the Bib Gourmand award from the Michelin group for great food at an affordable price. There was always at least a 3-5 minute line before the award but now you probably have to wait at least 10-20 minutes. The stand has prime real estate as it’s located at one of the ends of the night market and directly under the iconic sign. Each bun is $50 NT and is crispy on the outside while maintaining the juicyness of the meat on the inside. Would definitely recommend this place for anyone coming to the night market.

Great pork pepper buns with sesame on top. Baked in clay oven. Long long que but no need wait very long due to efficient production line. Impressive many people making at fast speed.

Famous 胡椒餅. So big and so juicy:) Maybe 1.5 times bigger than usual ones. The price is TWD55. You have to wait in the long line but it takes less than 5min.

The longest queue here at the night market! The pepper pie is really worth it. Thin crust and huge meat filling. Eating it during raining day or winter time as it’s piping hot and fresh from the stove. Their cooking method is so interesting as they stick the bun into the stove inside. Definitely recommended

Not bad but probably not worth the hype. They have prime location in Raohe night market - the very first entrance when coming off MRT Songshan. That’s honestly half the reason there’s a long line here - not because these are mind blowing. The upside is you can see several people making these buns from scratch. For $2 USD ($55 NT each) it’s not a ripoff, but it’s not the very best. There are plenty more great buns all around Taipei!

crispy/chewy bun with juicy/tender pork/green onion filling. best had when hot but amidst covid, eating on spot is discouraged.

Agree that is the best black pepper buns I've had... it is hyped up, but I think its worth the hype imho. Yes you have to stand in line, and yes you may have to wait a bit, but where else can you get piping hot, out-of-the oven black pepper buns as good as this? I haven't found it in Taiwan yet, or anywhere else for that matter... there's a reason why it won a Michelin Bib Gourmand. Watching them make the buns is also impressive (what else are you going to do while you queue in line), they don't measure anything and every bun tastes exactly the same! Same dough, same dough to meat ratio, etc. Be careful, the meat is extremely hot and spicier than one may think!
