K	K on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are a lot of good Haikai food and snacks here. It is small and out of the way, but there is a special bus that passes through here every half hour, so you can make it a part of your day trip. Personally, this is one of the most underrated places in Taoyuan.

J	Jaydeep Ravani on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Shenkeng, literally "deep pit," is located in a mountainous area with a pit-shaped terrain, giving the district its name. At one time, all traffic between Taipei and Yilan passed through here. The area was also an entrepot for tea and dyestuff , giving rise to today's Shenkeng Old Street. The large bishopwood tree at the old street entrance is a local landmark. Shenkeng Old Street is well-known for its food. Visitors are especially attracted by the street's famous tofu dishes, including delicious tofu stewed in brown sauce, black tofu, and grilled stinky tofu. The four specialties of the local cuisine are green bamboo shoots, black pork, white tofu, and Wenshan Baozhong tea. These "four treasures" can be enjoyed in seasonal dishes served at local restaurants.
李	李好命 on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A small town with few historic buildings. Nothing special. If you have time and you like biking, you can come here, rent a bicycle (or bring your own one), riding in the bicycle trail from here north to Daxi township. It should be fun.
S	S Chu on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lots of mosquitoes and a strange smell from the ditches as you walk into the old street/small ally. Hard to imagine that this is a recommended place for tourists; everything seems so disorganized and not clean. You can stop by for a quick visit, but it's really nothing special and the food is only ok.

Today was raining and we arrived late in the afternoon, so most of the street was closed or closing. But the kids had fun with the clothes washing stream and manual water spout. Maybe we'll come visit again earlier in the day and when it's not raining.
