UMAMI 金色三麥

Perhaps I got lucky, but I was pretty happy with the pasta, risotto, pizza, and appetizers we ordered. Ambiance of the venue is very nice, with excellent cleanliness. Lady who was singing had a good voice and did a good job with live performance. As other comments have mentioned, they can improve on operations. Same dishes came out at different times, and some fairly delayed; this will hopefully be improved upon. Verdict: worth going, but perhaps go 2 months from now when they have optimized their pricing, portions, and operations for improved dining experience. To the manager(s) reading this, some thoughts and suggestions from us: - Lamb should have option to not be fully cooked (we were informed that all lamb orders are fully cooked to reduce gamey taste, but that's perhaps a matter of personal preference for someone who orders lamb exactly for that taste) - Portion for burger was too small. Paying more is okay, but portion needs to be increased, especially for items labeled under the "main course" section. Also, menu mentioned "green salad" (or something like that) that comes with the burger, but most of the salad consists of onions (far from green) and seemed more as a topping for the burger than salad. 6/10/2019 update Many of the 5-star reviews are highly suspicious - many of them have very few reviews, leaving very sparse comments, only give out 5 stars, and posted within the same day or very closely together.

Came here around 3pm during happy hour, beer and selected drinks 50% off. The food was delicious and the service was very friendly as well. I think skewers were really good. Crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Highly recommend this restaurant.

We didn't know there's UMAMI here as well. It's different from the original brand lebledor and we entered since it happened to be Happy Hours where we got half price for craft beer. This shop is indeed smaller in size, but the atmosphere is great. The duck breast slices were thinner than expected, but it's a minor drawback as we just finished lunch somewhere else. Of course if there had been more side dishes available, we might have spent more!

Fairly nice restaurant, the atmosphere is decent but the lights are very dim. The food is good, but nothing exceptional. The beef skewers were good, but could have definitely used more salt. The pork neck skewers were great though, definitely worth a try. The sashimi salad and duck salad were both decent but nothing special. The steak was the best dish all night, very well prepared, and so were the roast vegetables on the side. The lobster pasta was ok, but the spaghetti was perhaps a bit undersalted and overcooked. Perfectly fine for a nice dinner, but not quite great.

Better choices in the area. With nobody ahead of us, took a long time to get seated. Lunch special seafood risotto was just ok, nothing special. Didn't like the egg custard appetizer. Salad wasn't memorable. The menu said lunch special included soup. They did not give it to us. We won't be going back.

4.5 stars. Went for lunch and had a great experience. It’s a beautiful restaurant. Pork chop meal was good, but wish it had a harder seer. The Szechuan pepper fast fry chicken was the star dish. Truly delicious. They also had a pretty good caramel macchiato. Also, when we were in there we got a show. A family brought a baby duckling in a cardboard box while they ate near us...

The menu here is different from the other branches. The prices are reasonable for a restaurant with a good view, however, it doesn’t have many options for eating. The food was just okay, the pizza was good but a small portion, paella was insipid. We had a second meal somewhere else afterwards.

What a great restaurant. Loved it. Located on the 7th floor in Breeze Nanshan, great vibes and atmosphere. Cozy and quiet. Different from what I unexpected though. While UMAMI 金色三麥 chain has several locations this one sure is on a higher scale than the other ones I visited. Menu was quite different as well. Dishes were nicely presented an delicious except for the pork chop I ordered was too dry for me. Overall not pricey considering location and service you get. Definitely recommended for family/friends events and perfect for business dinner, dating, etc. Cheers. ps There was live music by a guitar singer started around 6:30pm when we were there on a Friday evening. It was kind of refreshing. Not sure if it was daily thing or just weekend.
