I got their famous potato cake with egg, and a quiche. It was okay! I might still wanna visit sometimes.

Store decoration is a little bit complicated. But, 蛋餅 skin is so crispy.. Made it stands out ! Love it.. You need to try it..

The owner of this store has lots of creativities. The food is more like traditional Taiwanese breakfast plus some unique ingredient come from Taiwanese lunch dishes. In short, pay a visit first, then you will realize whether you like it or not. For me, I think it scores 83.

Café Latte was full flavour, no bitterness and smooth. My partner had the fresh, brewed milk tea that was a rich roasted flavour with no tannins, very good. The specialty is definitely the pancake omelettes with an array of filling choices. Dipped in a homemade chilli soy paste, I could get through 2 only for my breakfast. They are a beautiful fine batter with the egg omelette inside then the selected ingredients. A refined take on a classic Taiwanese street breakfast dish. You are bound to discover a favourite item or two, no doubt. I found out that the bosses partner roasts the coffee, no wonder it’s so good. I can imagine this business would develop to a slick Taiwanese franchise that could sweep through Asia. 3 branches so far.

Visits on Sunday mornings should be avoided. Nothing was served after my 40 min wait at the place, and I was told to wait for another 30 min for a Chinese omelette, milk tea and a bowl of rice. Will probably come back one day when they're no longer understaffed or find better staffers. Hope they'll prioritise their orders better in the future as it's a big no-no to have your customers wait for 70 min at such a breakfast place in Taiwan.

Better than the average danbing, they do it with a nice semi fried crispiness on the outside, and fresh lettuce inside. They also have a very good hot chilli sauce and a garlic soy. Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the wait can be quite long, especially on weekends. They also play live NBA games here. Run by some nice young guys into surfing, biking and other sports.

First time staying in a hotel in this neighbourhood, thought I would venture out for some local breakfast instead of the breakfast buffet at the hotel. I've always seen these egg crepes being sold at street stands and have always been a bit too chicken to eat them. Glad to find a restaurant that's open at this hour (90% of the stores in this residential neighborhood is closed at 8am) and found egg crepes served in a little shop. Its quaint and cute, you have to order with an order from up front by the door. Not sure if this is a good price or not for the locals but a crepe for about CAD$2 in a small local business is good for me. The sweetened milk tea is sweet - I think this might be how the locals like their milk tea. I'll make a note for myself to check the "no sugar" box next time. Otherwise it's nice and cute in here. I love the recycled vintage school desk & chairs. A nice touch. Also, I've been sitting here for quite awhile after I've finished eating and nobody has rushed me out of here or the other people that are also loitering here after they eat. I like that.
