However, the food quality is not worthy in terms of its price, especially we take a long trip from downtown to this restaurant. The name of this restaurant is for Japanese food. But what they provide is Chinese and western foods. Originally I expect sashimi or sushi there. But none of them be provided. But the environment is quiet good.

W	William Pryor IV on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was my first dining experience in Taipei, and it did not disappoint. Living Forest impressed me in terms of quality, hospitality, and environment. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. If lamb chops are on the menu, get them! The owner allowed me to sit at a table two hours before opening to provide me shelter from the rainstorm. That is priceless. The restaurant also has beautiful air controlled huts for a family or an intimate date.

Nonetheless, the room and food were depressing; the room we had had a broken heater and they said there were no substitutes to replace. The food tasted normal and the plate presentations were sad. You can definitely find a better place to spend your $1280+10% service fee somewhere more convenient and tasty in Taipei.

Possibly an acceptable solution for unfussy families with children but overall a fairly depressing effort. Food was presented quite beautifully but the taste was poor, especially considering the price. The quality of the lamb was particularly questionable as it had quite an overpowering taste and smell. The location is next to the main road so not the forest hut we had imagined although still a reasonably quiet area to eat. The huts look like a minimum effort and cost job. The huts do have air conditioning which might prove useful for some in the summer. Note that the '$$' rating underplays the cost given the minimum charge of NT$1280 + 10% per person (major sticker shock for us). Based on today's experience we won't be returning...
